George Michael said he felt "very ashamed" as he pleaded guilty in a London court to a charge of driving while unfit because of drugs. Michael, 43, was arrested in October after the police found him slumped at the wheel of his car in London.
He blamed his behavior on a mixture of tiredness and prescription medicine, telling the court, "I was not in my normal physical state, and I am perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that." The charge carries a maximum of six months in jail and a fine of £5,000. Michael's plea will be considered at a May 30 hearing.
